Message from our Camp Coordinator
Joseph Lucia, Camp Coordinator
With Camp 2020 quickly approaching we are looking forward to another action packed summer adventure!
Upper Canada Child Care (UCCC) has a rich history of operating quality summer camps in the GTA for over 35 years and our success has been the result of continually adapting to the ever changing needs of campers, always improving and striving to provide the best licensed environment for your children.
An integral portion of our summer camp programming is our weekly day trips. At least once a week campers jump on a school bus to experience what our local communities have to offer. By getting out of our centres we hope to spark curiosity and exploration encouraging campers to try new experiences, fostering each child’s individual strengths and self-esteem.
UCCC Camps offer a variety of activities: sports, games, water-play, crafts, cooking experiences, and so much more. Our camp staff can’t wait to explore beaches, conservation areas, and parks with campers, not to mention hosting awesome special events planned at our camp locations.
NEW, this year to UCCC Camps, we are excited to offer our first specialty drama camp! Held at select locations across the GTA, our specialty drama camps will get children participating, practicing lines, building sets, and choreographing dance numbers all in preparation for their big performance at the end of the session.
At UCCC Camps we are also focused on staff development to ensure we are providing the best camp possible for your child. Our summer camp staff participate in extensive training to develop: new ways of making connections, working with exceptionalities, and creating an environment which promotes child-led programming. We believe a good balance between pre-planned and child-led experiences will create the best summer camp yet.
Looking forward to seeing you at a UCCC Camp!

Kettleby Valley Residential Camp and Outdoor Education
The small group Residential Camp ensures that each child receives individual attention and care. Campfires, night hikes, skits, stories and many other traditional events make the camper's experience one to remember for many years.
The Canoe Tripping program provides an enriched experience for older campers, furthering their skills in group problem-solving and decision-making.
The Leader-in-Training program gives campers opportunities to learn the skills necessary to lead games, instruct activities and become great Counsellors.
The Outdoor Centre offers educational programs for schools, corporations and other organized groups from September through June.
